Our key Bible passage is 1 Corinthians 15:1-4:

Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

Our lesson today is titled “Leading Souls to Christ, Part 4”

Some will have objections to the Gospel. You must be prepared to respond to these. The key thing to remember is to always respond with the word of God. You may not always have time to look up a verse, so it is important to hide the word of God in your heart.

Let’s look at some of the objections an unsaved person might have and how you ought to respond to them with the Word of God.

1. Some might say, “I am not a great sinner.”

Answer: God says that we are all sinners. Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”

2. Some might say, “I’m a Baptist… Methodist… a Catholic, etc.”

Answer: Church membership does not save anyone—you must be born again. Jesus said in John 3:3, “Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

3. Some might say, “There are hypocrites in the church.”

Answer: Yes, there are, but there will be no hypocrites in Heaven. You will not be judged by what someone else did, but by your own life. Romans 14:12 says, “So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.”

4. Some might say, “I would have to give up too much.”

Answer: If you are not willing to give up your sins, you will be lost forever. Is it worth this? Jesus said in Mark 8:36, “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?”

5. Some might say, “I am waiting until I become better.”

Answer: You can’t make yourself better. The Lord Jesus tells us to come to Him just as we are, and He promises to receive us. He said in John 6:37, “him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.”

6. Some might say, “I am afraid I can’t live the Christian life.”

Answer: No one can—until Christ comes to live in him. He enables us to live the Christian life. The Apostle Paul said in Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”

These are just some of the objections that people you witness to may make toward the Gospel. As we see here, God’s word has an answer for all of man’s objections.

If you do not know Jesus Christ as your Saviour, John 3:16 states, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

The Bible also says in Romans 10:9 and 13: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved…. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

If you believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins, was buried, and rose from the dead, and you want to trust Him for your salvation today, please pray with me this simple prayer: Holy Father God, I realize that I am a sinner and that I have done some bad things in my life. I am sorry for my sins, and I want to turn from my sins. For Jesus Christ sake, please forgive me of my sins. I now believe with all of my heart that Jesus Christ died for me, was buried, and rose again. I trust Him as my Savior and follow Him as Lord from this day forward. Lord Jesus, please come into my heart and save my soul and change my life today. Amen.

If you just trusted Jesus Christ as your Saviour, and you prayed that prayer and meant it from your heart, I declare to you that based upon the Word of God, you are now saved from Hell and you are on your way to Heaven. Welcome to the family of God! I want to congratulate you on doing the most important thing in life and that is receiving Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour.
