The Bible says in 1 Peter 5:8: “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.”

In our previous lessons, we have identified the three enemies that every Christian has to face in this life. Those enemies are: the world, the flesh, and the devil. So far, we have discussed how we can defeat the world and how we can defeat the flesh. Today, I want to talk with you about how we can defeat the devil.

The greatest enemy of the Christian is the devil. The Bible calls him our adversary and our accuser. He seeks to invade and undermine every Christian life. When you accepted Christ as your Savior, you took a step that made Satan very angry. You left his side and joined the Lord’s side, and because of that, there are some things that you need to understand.
