How God’s Perfect World Became Ruined (Part 3)

Welcome to the Onward Christian Soldier Discipleship Ministry. My name is Daniel Whyte III, president of Gospel Light Society International, here to encourage you in your walk with Jesus Christ. The purpose of our time together is to strengthen you in the faith and in your walk with Christ. Our mission is to help you know all you need to know and do after you have entered through the door of accepting Jesus Christ as your Saviour.

My message for today is titled “How God’s Perfect World Became Ruined (Part 3)”. But first, let’s pray together.

PRAYER

The Bible says in Romans 5:12: “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.”

Over the past two weeks, we have been discussing the reasons why God’s perfect world came to be in the sad state that it is in now. In our first message, we saw that the first reason why God’s perfect world became ruined is because of the rebellion of Satan. When Satan rebelled against God, he was thrown out of heaven with one-third of the other angels who decided to follow him in his rebellion.

The second reason why the world became ruined is because of the disobedience of Adam and Eve. God gave Adam and Eve one commandment that they had to follow, yet they failed at that.

Today, we will see that the third reason why God’s perfect world became ruined is because of the introduction of sin into the human race. Because of their sin, Adam and Eve experienced a spiritual death. They no longer had the sweet fellowship with God that they had in the Garden of Eden. They passed this condition of spiritual deadness down to all of their descendants which includes you and me. When any person does not have a relationship with God, that person is spiritually dead.

Adam’s disobedience brought sin into the world. The Bible says: “By one man (Adam) sin entered into the world, and death by sin.” Sin separates us from God. When Adam sinned, he was cut off from God. God had said, “In the day that you eat thereof, you shall surely die.” Adam died spiritually that very day, and he began to die physically as well.

Because Adam was the first man, the whole human race came from him. Every condition that affected Adam affected the whole human family. The Bible says in Romans 5:19: “By one man’s disobedience many were made sinners.” That is the third reason why God’s perfect world became ruined.

Despite their sinful nature, God still loved Adam and Eve. And despite our sinful nature, God still loves us. On the same day that they sinned and God had to throw them out of the Garden, He made a wonderful promise that He would send a Saviour into the world who would save them from their sins and restore them to Him. That Savior would be God’s own Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Now, if you do not know the Lord Jesus Christ as your Saviour, John 3:16 states, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

The Bible also says in Romans 10:9 and 13: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved…. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Dear friend, if you are willing to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation, please pray with me this simple prayer: Holy Father God, I realize that I am a sinner and that I have done some bad things in my life. For Jesus Christ sake, please forgive me of my sins. I now believe with all of my heart that Jesus Christ died for me, was buried, and rose again. Lord Jesus, please come into my heart and save my soul and change my life today and forever. Amen!

If you prayed that prayer and you meant it from your heart, congratulations on doing the most important thing in life and that is accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour!
